HAND SANITIZER

After the spread of COVID 19 infections, frequent hand washing and hand sanitization is the order of the day. Hand Sanitizers have become hot selling products. Hand sanitizer is a liquid, gel, or foam generally used to decrease infectious agents like virus and bacteria on the hands. In most health care settings alcohol-based hand sanitizers are preferable to hand washing with soap and water. ETHYL ALCOHOL 70%

Alcohol-based versions typically contains one of, Ethyl alcohol (ethanol), Isopropyl alcohol or n-propanol. A sanitizer containing 60% to 95% alcohol is the most effective. 70% alcohol is ideal than a stronger solution. Pure alcohol coagulates protein in contact. If 70% of alcohol is poured to a single celled organism, it also coagulates the protein, but at a slower rate, so that it penetrates all the way through the cell before coagulation can block it.
